Position:                              Banquet Server (On Call)


Reports To:                         Assistant Restaurant Manager/Restaurant Manager





Position Description

The Banquet Server is responsible for setting up and servicing private events at La Centrale. The Banquet Server sets-up, services, and breaks-down the food and beverage areas where they are assigned ensuring a high level of quality, consistency and service.



  • Sets place settings in event area
  • Clears area of service by clearing tables, remove trays and dirty dishes, silverware and glassware
  • Picks up napkins and table cloths before and after events
  • Serves all food courses and beverages to customers in accordance to company standards
  • Clean all equipment used during event
  • Able to make coffee and prepare other beverages as needed for event
  • Stock all condiments needed
  • Able to anticipate customer needs
  • Checks customers' satisfaction on a regular basis
  • Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards customers and team members
  • Develops strong, productive, professional relationships with internal and external customers
  • Maintains par level of equipment and supplies
  • Polishes cutlery and glassware

Skills and/or Experience

  • Fluency in spoken English

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
  • Incumbent is occasionally required to taste or smell
  • Push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs on a weekly basis.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and work in a standing position for a long period of time


Work Environment

  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office
  • Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice including weekends, nights, holidays
